Joseph Piña was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Antonian College Preparatory, received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Business Minor from the University of Texas at Austin. Joseph received his Juris Doctorate from the St. Mary's School of Law. While in law school, Joseph was a student attorney for the St. Mary's Criminal Justice Clinic, where he gained substantive knowledge and practical skills by representing income-qualified clients — juveniles and adults — who are charged with criminal offenses ranging from misdemeanors to capital offenses. Joseph clerked for a AAA mediator/arbitrator and saw various cases from both the Plaintiffs and Defendant's position. After graduation Joseph immediately began his career working at a high volume Personal Injury firm where he gained vital negotiation skills along with trial experience. In addition to his work, Joseph enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and supporting the Texas Longhorns and the San Antonio Spurs.
