Matthew began practicing law in Arizona in 2006. In 2008 he began working at the Public Defender’s Office, where he has handled cases from misdemeanors to the most serious crimes. During his nine years at the Public Defender’s Office, he handled more than 1,000 cases and took nearly 100 cases to jury trial. His time at the Public Defender’s Office also gave him the opportunity to work in Veterans Court and Mental Health Court. In 2017 he moved to Las Vegas where he earned his LLM in Gaming Law from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. After becoming a member of the Nevada Bar, he worked exclusively in criminal law.
He is a member of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal District Court of Arizona, the Federal District Court of Nevada, the Arizona State Bar, and the Nevada State Bar.
