The penal code condemns a variety of sexual offenses considered immoral, which undermine healthy social coexistence and cause severe psychological and physical harm to the victim of assault, as well as family separation.

Sexual offenses also include indecent exposure, prostitution, rape of a companion, pornography, sodomy, among others.
